The Project Starts with Fried Chicken

Last night, I decided to start a blog after months of contemplation. I have been seeking a rabbit to chase down its rabbit hole and I hope I've found it. It all started with wanting to share aspects of my life in an outlet for writing and sharing my projects, photography and mostly brag about my husband's cooking.

Adam fried chicken for me last night for dinner. He has a special recipe. It starts with quartering a whole chicken, soaking the chicken pieces in a mixture of buttermilk and pineapple juice, battering it with seasoned flour and Panko crumbs and then frying it in our cast iron Dutch oven. Yes. He fried it and it was delicious and worth every calorie.

For sides, we had sautéed green beans and roasted Yukon Gold potatoes, beets and turnips. Adam made a dipping sauce from yogurt, dill, and garlic. We drank Sam Adam's Oktoberfest. It all was so good; so good that it was blog-worthy. So we will begin our project blog. Homemade from scratch every weekend and when I have to cook during the weekdays, I'll be transforming the leftovers into something else.

Since Adam does so much writing and photography already, I'll be documenting our project.
